MindX was launched back in 2014 as a home for young techies. Some came to code, some came to pick up another language or skill or English. MindX has raised US$500K in its recent seed funding round. The said funding round was led by the venture capital ESP Capital. Some individual investors also participated in the round.
MindX was formerly known as TechKids, a school chain for learning new tech skills like programming, design, robotics and 3D drawing. In addition, MindX is also a co-working space organization that accommodates more than 200 local and international startups and investments.
According to Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, co-founder and CEO of MindX, the fund will be used on opening new centers in Ho Chi Minh City. “MindX is working with leading schools in top countries worldwide, such as the US, Singapore, and South Korea, in order to select the most suitable method that fits Vietnamese student’s culture and learning style,” Nguyen said.
The company also plans to enhance its current curriculum and aims to construct an environment that incorporates schools for new skill sets of the 4.0 era.
