Facebook Joins Forces with UNICEF, WHO for World Health Day

Facebook is teaming up with UNICEF and the World Health Organization marking World Health Day to promote credible information about the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a blog post, “We hope these stickers offer people a fun and creative way to connect and privately express the joy, relief and hope they feel about the possibilities the COVID-19 vaccines offer, and to show their appreciation for the healthcare heroes who have continued their life-saving work during this long and difficult time.”

Instagram users will see everyone who shared Stories With the new “I got vaccinated” sticker in their Stories tray.

Tapping the sticker will bring users directly to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Center, which has been visited over 37 million times since mid-March.

Facebook and UNICEF teamed up to bring the COVID-19 vaccination profile frame to eight new countries this week, with more planned for the coming weeks and months.
