Google has launched new knowledge panels to show people accurate information about coronavirus vaccines.
Tackling misinformation about vaccines is going to be a mammoth task for tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Twitter.
The company announced in a blog post, the panels are launching first in the United Kingdom — which has both approved and has started administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine — and Google will roll them out in other countries after local regulators start approving COVID-19 vaccines.
As more vaccines get authorized by health authorities, Google said it’ll introduce the feature in more countries.
The new feature will list authorized vaccines in the user’s location, and show information panels on each one, Google added.
