MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) offered some tips on how to alleviate anxiety and stress as millions of Filipinos are placed under lockdown.
Health Undersecretary Maria Vergeire said in an online press briefing, “None of us want to be locked inside our house that’s against our will.”
“First, we have a goal in these trying times, which is to decrease COVID-19 cases so that it eventually disappears,” she added.
The public can keep themselves busy by doing household chores and indoor exercise. Vergeire also recommends reading books and watching movies to make oneself feel better.
As of Wednesday, April 29, the Philippines has recorded 8,212 COVID-19 cases. The tally includes 558 who succumbed to the disease while 1,023 have recovered.
