Fitbit’s newest tracking device: Fitbit Inspire and Inspire HR

Fitbit has released its new tracking device but is available only to corporate employees and Fitbits health insurance members.

Fitbit, Inc. is an American company that specializes in devices that monitors one’s health. Founded in 2007 by James Park and Eric Friedman, Fitbit is considered the third largest wearable company shipment, just behind Xiaomi and Apple.

Its products include activity trackers, wireless-enabled wearable technology devices that measure data such as the number of steps walked, heart rate, quality of sleep, steps climbed, and other personal metrics involved in fitness.

In addition to their products offers, Fitbit just came out with its latest activity trackers called Fitbit Inspire and Inspire HR trackers. It tracks sleep, activity, and calories burned by the user. It also comes with heart rate, sleep cycle, and cardio fitness level tracking as well. The new models are available as a wristband.

The new Inspire models are Fitbit’s business-to-business venture. The products will only be available through Fitbit Health Solutions partners like health plan providers, employers, and other wellness groups.

Fitbit’s CEO James Park said that the company’s revenue is increasingly tied to business customers and now has 6.8 million patients, employee and health plan members signed up for wellness programs that incorporate Fitbit devices.

He also said that Fitbit is working with UnitedHealth and is focusing to sell private Medicare plans to seniors.

The price of its newly release models isn’t listed but the company said it will be the cheapest device the company have released
