The Quezon City government received another P13.2 million worth of PPEs, vitamins, disinfectant, and medical supplies to aid QC hospitals and frontliners.
“We are distributing these necessities to all the public hospitals in Quezon City to address the urgent needs of our medical frontliners. We’re doing our own effort to lessen their vulnerability to the virus when they’re performing their tasks,” said INC General Auditor Glicerio Santos Jr.
Quezon City first received a P5 million cash donation, also from INC, through the city mayor Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte.
According to Santos Jr., INC Executive Minister Brother Eduardo Manalo said to give an ‘all-out’ aid and assistance to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. “Ka Eduardo has told us that rather than face this threat with fear, we should confront it with action – and this is why the church has chosen to help the government and out countrymen in any way we can,” added Santos Jr.
INC also donated P3 million to the Davao City government and announced the use of its Ciudad de Victoria as a COVID-19 quarantine facility.
According to sources, the donation includes 300 boxes of thermal scanners, 3000 boxes of surgical gloves, 3000 boxes of OR caps, 3000 gallons of alcohol, 1200 sets of PPE suits, 1500 boxes of Vitamin, 4000 pieces of goggles, hundreds of gallons of disinfectant, 4000 pieces of N95 masks, and 500 folding beds.
“Mula’t mula pa, anuman ang mangyari, anuman ang dumating na sakuna dito sa mga bayan sa Pilipinas, kaagapay palagi nila ang Iglesia Ni Cristo, sa pangunguna ng ating Tagapamahalang Pangkalahatan, ang Kapatid na Eduardo v. Manalo,” said Santos Jr.
