Impact Hub Manila is a part of the largest network of entrepreneurs and change-makers in the world. In line with Impact Hubs’ National Vision of accommodating 1,000 startups in the country at the end of 2023, Impact Hub Manila organized events to make an impact in the startup industry.

Starting off with Elevate National Roadshow to assist startups and ICT community comes the Impact 2050 – Impact Hackathon happening on 30-31 October 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Manila.

Impact 2050 is a multi-year program designed to equip, enable, and empower innovative digital solutions.

Believing that a connected society is crucial in today’s dynamic business landscape, Impact Hub Manila is hoping to collaborate with like-minded stakeholders in the joint interest of growing the startup community in Asia and the Pacific.

What is Hackathon?

A Hackathon is a coding marathon aimed to create a prototype from a seemingly impossible problem to solve to a minimum viable product, ultimately create a viable and sustainable business.

The Impact Hackathon is a simultaneous hackathon across 15+ cities with 10,000 participants, 2,000+ teams, 2,000+ ideas, 2,000 potential startups, over 800 mentors, judges and volunteers, over 50 national winners, 15-25 cities in the Philippines and 10 MILLION Pesos worth of prizes.

  • Climate Change
  • Education
  • Food and Agriculture
  • Health and Wellness
  • Smart Cities (Includes IoT, Mobility/Transportation, Media)

What makes us different?

Impact Hackathon is the official attempt to break the Guinness World Record on the most number of participants in one venue at 4,000 participants. A simultaneous multi-city hackathon will happen hosted by 15-20 cities in the Philippines. Winners will receive long-term support from Impact Hub Manila’s Incubation Program.

How does the Reverse Hackathon work?

Problems will be identified by partners and will be posted for innovators to hack. Winning ideas will be awarded year-long support in cash grants and incubation.
