Impact Hub Manila – National Vision

“The World is Changing. Join the Transition Team!”

In 2018, a consortium of the Department of Trade & Industry, Department of Science and Technology and Department of Information, Communications & Technology envisions that by 2023, at the end of the five-year road map, the country should and could accommodate 1,000 start-ups in the country.

Give that entrepreneurs should be well-intentioned to solve specific challenges, the questions now are:

  • How do we get to the 1,000 startups?
  • What must we do to continue fostering the ideas and spirits of these entrepreneurs?

Starting to gather these startups, Impact Hub Manila has partnered with DICT to kick off the Elevate National Roadshow. The Elevate National Roadshow is designed to build awareness and help startups bring their innovations into reality.

Present at the signing is Undersecretary Monchito B. Ibrahim and Celeste Eden (Ces) Rondario, Impact Hub Manila Co-Founder and CEO.

The roadshow will tour five cities outside Manila including Clark Pampanga, Baguio, Iloilo, Dumaguete, and Cagayan de Oro.

The Elevate National Roadshow tries to assist the startup and ICT community, equip the participants, convene stakeholders, concretize partnerships and create replicable frameworks. Through the roadshow, Impact Hub Manila was able to conduct Bootcamp training, capacity0building workshop, reached 100-200 participants per city, and PRSIM will be officially conducted.

PRISM or the Philippine Research on Innovation and Startup Mapping can assess the community’s readiness for the startup ecosystem, intentionally map the Manila’s startup and ICT ecosystem (could start as a database) and establish strategic frameworks for LGUs promotion and policy implementation of startup and innovation which can potentially attract talent and investment.

Continuing their vision to gather startups with universal sustainable solutions, Impact Hub Manila is bringing you the first-ever Impact 2050 – Impact Hackathon happening on 30-31 October 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

Impact 2050 – Future Proof Today is a multi-year program designed to equip, enable, and empower innovative digital solutions.
