Investors Sue Volkswagen with 9 billion Euros Emission Court Case

Volkswagen was about to be pursued by its investors after the company falsified diesel emissions data.

Volkswagen was founded May 28 of 1937 in Berlin Germany. And has created some iconic cars like the “beetle”.

The car making giant now faces a serious emissions scandal and has made the German authorities to notice and have made them fine over 1.2 billion euros. In September 2015 at the United States, the Carmaker also was fined over 1,670 claims from shareholders costing the company over 27.4 billion euros in penalties and fines.

The scandal has caused over 10.7 million vehicles to have illegal emissions, it was not just Volkswagen cars but also carmakers that uses the diesel engine produced by the company like Seat.

Along with the scandal, prosecutors have widened their emissions cheating probe and have included chief executive of Volkswagen’s luxury carmaker Audi in the suspects that have been accused of false advertisement and fraud.

With 50 lawyers, the hearing was so big that it transferred to a nearby conference. But still with the workforce in the case, it has been estimated that the case would still take over a year to finish.

Volkswagen said that it admits for the diesel Crisis and will be taking responsibility for its mistake.
