Moderna Applies for EUA COVID-19 Vaccine in the Philippines

April 26, Monday, U.S drugmaker Moderna Inc. filed an application for emergency use authorization of its COVID-19 vaccine in the Philippines.

FDA Director-General Eric Domingo said the application was submitted on Monday, which will allow the company to supply the Philippines with its vaccines for COVID-19. An initial shipment of nearly 200,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine is scheduled to arrive in the country on June 15.

The FDA earlier granted EUA to Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sinovac’s CoronaVac, Gamaleya’s Sputnik V, Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, and Bharat Biotech.
