Okta appoints Becky Saeger to its Board of Directors

The San Francisco-based Okta has recruited former Charles Schwab Corporation’s Chief Marketing Officer Becky Saeger to its board of directors.

Okta, a publicly-traded identity management company that provides cloud software that helps companies manage their employee’s passwords appointed Becky Saeger to its board of directors. Saeger becomes the third female board member of Okta.

Saeger is the former Chief Marketing Officer in Charles Schwab Corporation and served as its Executive Vice President. She also served as Executive Vice President of Brand Management and Marketing at the Charles Schwab Corp.

Prior to Schwab, she also worked at Visa U.S.A. Inc. as Executive Vice President of Brand Marketing. Previously, Saeger worked at Foote, Cone & Belding, where she led national market campaigns for major brands such as Pillsbury and Janus Funds. She also served as Senior Vice President and Head of Accounting Management at Foote, Cone & Belding and Senior Vice President at Ogilvy & Mather.

Saeger serves on the board of E*TRADE Financial Corporation and is a member of the E*TRADE Bank board. She is an advisor to Yext. She served on the board of directors for Turn and as Chair of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

According to Okta’s co-founder and CEO Todd McKinnon, Becky has a proven track record as a senior executive and director of some of the world’s most innovative, ubiquitous financial services companies and brands. He said that Becky’s wealth of experience in marketing, financial services and technology will help them achieve their vision to enable any company to use any technology, with identity at the forefront.

Becky, on the other hand, said that she is honored to join Okta’s board as the company brings identity mainstream. Saeger brings to the Okta Board valuable expertise in consumer and business-to-business marketing, strategic planning and brand development.
