The location-based social search mobile app appointed Ravi Mehta as new Chief Product Officer as it pushes its campaign to keep youngsters on the app.
Tinder, an app often used as a dating site is focusing on keeping young people to keep using the app, is developing additional features to benefit its younger users. In line with this, Tinder named Ravi Mehta as its new Chief Product Officer.
Mehta’s hiring comes after Brian Norgard left his post in November 2018. Since Norgard’s departure, Tinder has not named an interim to fill his position.
Elie Seidman, CEO at Tinder said, “Tinder’s product innovation brought an entire new generation to the category and now millions of people across the globe are connecting, dating, and starting relationships. It has become a social phenomenon and the go-to app when you are single. As we enter the next chapter of product innovation and international growth, we are excited to have Ravi’s perspective and experience at Tinder.”
Tinder has been targeting users between ages 18-22 or commonly known as ‘Gen Z’. With Mehta’s 20 years of experience in product management and consumer technology, Tinder’s feature offering will get even better.
