Delphi Technologies announced on Monday, Jan.7, that they named Richard Dauch as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Delphi Technologies develops, designs, and manufactures powertrain technologies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The company provides combustion systems, electrification products, software and controls, and operates in the passenger car and commercial vehicle markets, and in-vehicle repair through a global aftermarket network.
Delphi Tech named Richard Dauch as their new CEO replacing Liam Butterworth, who stepped down from his role in October of 2018. After Butterworth’s announcement, Hari Nair has been serving as the interim CEO of the company. The 57-year-old Dauch will also join the company’s board of directors.
Dauch was from Accuride, a supplier of wheel-end systems to the commercial vehicle industry, where he served as president and CEO since 2011. Prior to Accuride, he also worked at his late father’s company American Axle & Manufacturing Inc.
Timothy Manganello, non-executive chairman of the company’s board of directors, said that Dauch is a strong executive with more than 25 years of industry experience including 10 years serving in CEO roles with private and publicly traded companies. Dauch’s deep industry expertise, leadership qualities, and track record of driving operational excellence and profitable growth makes him an outstanding choice to lead Delphi Technologies during a time of dynamic industry change.
Dauch will join Delphi Technologies on the Jan. 7, the day he was appointed as CEO.
