Samsung once again surprises everyone with its Oscars ad showcasing its new foldable phone – the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
The South Korean multinational conglomerate company Samsung has been consistent in releasing innovative consumer electronics. With the recently held Oscars 2020, Samsung aired an advertisement presenting its new foldable phone – Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
It was a year ago when Samsung entered the foldable phone market, trying to transform the smartphone market. But first attempts are said to be a trial phase. Same with Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G was the first released foldable phone by Samsung. It was not long that consumers discover the Fold’s problem: App incompatibility, screen crease, screen broke, and even overheating, causing Samsung to delay the Fold’s official launch.
After some months, Samsung announced that they already had fixed all the problems regarding the Galaxy Fold 5G. Samsung then again is introducing another foldable smartphone, calling it the “Samsung Galaxy Z Flip”.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is said to be much more affordable than the Galaxy Fold 5G. “The new Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone will create a halo effect for Samsung’s brand and help it better compete with Apple’s pricey models,” said Tom Kang, an analyst at research firm Counterpoint.
Leaked photos of the Galaxy Z Flip explain how tall the new foldable phone is. Engadget has the chance to published some photos of the said phone.
Full display and specs of the Galaxy Z Flip will be unveiled in Samsung Unpacked big event happening on Tuesday, February 11, in San Francisco, alongside Galaxy S20, Galaxy Buds, and more.
