The Singtel Group of telcos including its regional associates Airtel, AIS, Globe and Telkomsel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to grow the gaming and e-sports ecosystem in Southeast-Asia including Australia and India.
Singtel group with its six telcos will see its growth even further in the Gaming Space and Gaming Community, this will include further scale-up e-sports, content creation and distribution in the Gaming Ecosystem.
Chief Executive of Singtel’s International Group, Arthur Lang said that the Gaming world is part of a digital world without borders, where the fast network speeds, connectivity, and local market knowledge are critical. There are a tremendous amount of opportunities laying in the growth of mobile games in particular he said. He added that the company are working together to develop solutions and services for Gamers and Fans alike in the region
The company held its inaugural E-Sports competition which was participated by the world’s top gamers which in turn made a huge impact in the gaming community in the whole world. The said event attracted more than 3,000 attendees and with e-sports commentators that has broadcasted up to seven different languages online that drew more than 3 million global viewers.
