Snapchat’s year had a great start with 4 million additional users just from the first quarter of the year.
The multimedia messaging app bounced back after a year of “Roller-Coaster” ride! The hard time is over for Snapchat as their Q1 2019 earnings ascend at least 2 percent. Snapchat’s daily active users increased up to 190 million from 186 million in its Q4 earnings in 2018.
Snapchat’s quarter revenue also jumped 39% to $320 million compared to the previous year.
We have seen the efforts of Snapchat to stay in track. The social media app added so many features targeting youngster and its users to stay longer. They even created an app that lets its users play live with their friends.
On April 3, Snapchat also announced its new, faster Snapchat which they said was rebuilt for Android phone users. Snapchat said that they spent over a year for this Android Snapchat app. The company also stated that Snapchat for Android is just “one of many things we’re working on to make sure Snapchat’s one of the fastest and most fun ways to stay in touch.”
Evan Spiegel, co-founder and CEO of Snapchat said, “In the first quarter we delivered strong results across our business with growth in daily active users and revenue. Our new Android application is available to everyone, with promising early results. This month we announced several new products that we believe will drive further engagement and monetization. As we look towards the future, we see many opportunities to increase our investments, and will continue to manage our business for long-term growth.”
Snapchat is living with its vision “We believe that reinventing the camera represents our greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. We contribute to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.”
